Lil’ Chef’s Clubhouse

In 2018, Bari Bucknam started Lil’ Chef’s Clubhouse to teach and inspire children ages 4-12 how to cook healthy meals. An avid cook and former preschool teacher, she wanted to build healthy eating and cooking habits early while also reinforcing age appropriate math and science developmental skills. She reached out to me to create the brand identity and strategy for her business that would inspire parents to enroll their children in her classes. Through research and strategy, I created a fun, inviting brand using a playful color palette and a catchy tagline, “Mix Math, Simmer Science, Taste Fun”. The logo was inspired by children’s toys and playfully infused some of the cooking utensils you might see in the kitchen. I designed an illustrated a series of stickers of each recipe that Bari could hand out to the kids at the end of each class. To help her understand how she could leverage this brand identity, I also provided examples of branded assets like aprons and spoons as well as social media assets to get the word out in the local community.
